Aceites Fuente Grande S.A. «Gomeoliva» (Priego de Córdoba)

The Gómez Pareja family has cultivated olives since ancestral times, passing down a deep commitment to olive growing from generation to generation. In 1954, Leoncio Gómez took the decisive step into industrial production by building the family’s first mill to crush olives and extract olive oil.

Over the years, the business grew and the children gradually joined it, leading to the creation of Aceites Fuente Grande S.A., which combines olive farming, milling and bulk oil marketing.

In 1991, the family took on a new challenge: selling bottled oils. It established Gomeoliva S.A. to bottle and market its own Extra Virgin Olive Oils. The Gomeoliva brand was born, with a firm commitment to quality as its defining feature.

The Priego de Córdoba Designation of Origin was created in 1996, and both the Aceites Fuente Grande S.A. mill and Gomeoliva S.A. bottling company joined it. To mark this, the family launched an exclusive brand for oil covered by the designation: Molino de Leoncio Gómez. Both companies later joined the Aceite de Lucena Designation of Origin in their respective production and bottling roles.

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil they produce comes from groves in the heart of the Sierras Subbéticas, in southern Córdoba, a region widely recognised for the excellence of its oils. Their distinctive organoleptic qualities result from a particular climate and soils ideally suited to olive growing.

Production is based on strict fruit selection, with olives harvested directly from the tree at optimum ripeness. They are carefully transported to the mill and cold-milled daily, producing genuine olive juice of the highest quality.

Every day, the family works to offer outstanding Extra Virgin Olive Oil, while promoting awareness of its products’ qualities and distinctive value.
