Bodegas La Aurora was born in 1964 from the shared dream of farmers who, during particularly difficult years in Spain, set themselves the common goal of producing quality wines. Despite the difficulties of the time, they persevered. Their determination, effort and entrepreneurial spirit laid the foundations for what is now one of Andalusia’s leading agricultural cooperatives.
Over the years, Cooperativa Agrícola La Aurora, now known as Bodegas La Aurora, has grown steadily, supported by the trust and commitment of its nearly eight hundred members, the organisation’s true driving force. Successive generations of managers have shared the same goals: striving to improve, continuous innovation and ever-higher product quality.
As a result, Bodegas La Aurora produces not only excellent wines but also operates a modern olive mill. Through rigorous quality controls and advanced technology, it obtains virgin and extra virgin olive oils with balanced flavours, distinctive character and the quality that defines all the cooperative’s products.
Looking to the future, its members remain committed to new technologies, innovation and developing new products, always guided by the non-negotiable principle of the highest quality. In doing so, they honour their predecessors’ legacy. Those pioneers would surely be proud to see what became of the small group of workers who once dared to embark on this ambitious project.
Bodegas La Aurora’s oils come from Picual and Hojiblanca olives grown in its own groves, some centuries old. Harvesting takes place at optimum ripeness, and oil is obtained with the utmost care, using mechanical processes exclusively. These preserve the fruit’s natural qualities and ensure extra virgin olive oil with unmistakable flavour and recognised excellence.
